Album Visual Identity Development

Branding

2024. 1. 2.

This project builds a cohesive visual identity that unifies photography, design, and merchandise around the album release—creating a single, consistent framework through which the artist’s emotions and narrative can expand into a clear visual structure.

When Music Needs a Face

The moment an album is released into the world, music begins to ask for a broader language.
For this singer-songwriter preparing a first album, there was a clear need for a visual framework that could carry the texture of sound into something visible. Defining a face to be remembered alongside the music—and clarifying the direction of its emotional narrative—became the starting point of the project.

One Deadline, Many Pieces

Within a fixed release schedule, photography, design, album production, and merchandise all had to move forward simultaneously.
To prevent each output from drifting on its own, the project required a unifying structure from the outset—one clear standard that could guide every element and connect them into a single flow.

Turning an Album into a System

Sphere D approached this work not as a collection of individual deliverables, but as an integrated system.
Beginning with the album title Romantic Talk, the team translated the lingering emotions of nighttime and quiet intimacy into a cohesive visual language.

Soft pink tones formed the core palette, while recurring motifs—moons, stars, and circular forms—were used to shape a mood that felt romantic yet personal.
Around the album artwork, a flexible asset structure was designed, allowing merchandise and applied designs to expand naturally while remaining visually consistent.

An Identity That Continues

The album was released successfully on schedule, and the established visual identity continued to function as a reference point for subsequent content and follow-up work.
The artist gained a clear image that audiences could recall alongside the music, and the project evolved beyond a one-time release into a lasting brand asset—one designed to grow with future chapters of the artist’s story.
