Bath Additive Object & Packaging Design Branding
Branding
2022. 1. 20.
Bath Refresh redefined bath additives not as disposable items, but as experiential gifts.
Centered around the instantly recognizable motif of ice cream, the project integrated brand storytelling, packaging structure, and paper engineering into a cohesive system—establishing a sensory experience that remains consistent from product selection to unboxing and the moment of use.
By designing every touchpoint as part of a single narrative, the project sets a clear standard for how a bath product can be perceived, gifted, and remembered—not merely consumed.

A FAMILIAR OBJECT, A NEW EXPERIENCE
The feeling of encountering ice cream arrives before any explanation—anticipation, the pleasure of choosing, a brief moment of rest.
This project began with a simple question: what if that emotion could be brought into the bathroom?
If a bath additive were remembered like ice cream, how would the experience change?
TURNING BATH TIME INTO A RITUAL
Bath Refresh approaches the end of the day as a ritual rather than a routine.
The brand name and logo were designed as a symbol combining a bathtub and foam, visually reframing bath time from an act of washing into a moment of personal recovery.
The contrast between soft pink tones and deep navy establishes a balance between relaxation and trust—setting a visual standard that feels both comforting and composed. Through this system, Bath Refresh positions bathing not as a task to complete, but as an experience to look forward to.

DESIGNED TO BE CHOSEN
Just like choosing an ice cream flavor, selecting a scent became a key part of the experience.
Each bath additive is clearly differentiated through color and naming, while the internal layout is designed so the full product composition is instantly recognizable the moment the package is opened. Without reading a single line of explanation, users can intuitively choose the scent that matches their current mood.
STRUCTURE SHAPES EXPERIENCE
The packaging was designed with a drawer-style sliding structure.
More than a storage solution, the opening motion itself becomes part of the experience—turning interaction into ritual. The paper-engineered structure guides the movement naturally, reinforcing anticipation.
Inside, the tray securely holds each product while maintaining a level of finish suitable for gifting straight out of the box.
Through structure, Bath Refresh shapes not just how the product is stored, but how it is discovered, chosen, and remembered.

A BRAND THAT STAYS AFTER USE
Bath Refresh is designed to linger—long after the bath is over.
While the bath additive dissolves in water, the packaging remains as an object—meant to be reused, displayed, or to quietly recall the experience.
The brand defines this after-moment as part of the experience itself.
By extending design beyond use into memory, Bath Refresh ensures that a small, everyday pause doesn’t simply pass—but stays, gently resurfacing when it’s needed most.
